Simcha Shtull is a Seattle-based filmmaker. Back to the House of Tomorrow premiered at Modernism Week (Feb. 2023) in Palm Springs, California.

Early in her career, Simcha co-founded and served as Creative Director of a small Israeli media firm, whose work focused on museum presentations and culture-oriented online magazines.  Simcha retrained as a psychotherapist, opening a private practice with a specialization in couples and relationship counseling. 

 

In retirement, Simcha has turned to the art of visual storytelling for the big screen. 

 

Her second documentary film, The Windows on Rue Saint-Dominique, has screened at Jewish film festivals in Canada and the U.S, and in Poland and Russia.

Simcha's upcoming film, The Story of Babka (working title), will explore the layered history and stories of this sweet bread — from its roots in Eastern Europe to the people and bakeries who have baked it, sold it, written about it, and loved it.
